There are two calls published by the Interreg MED Program expiring next 15 Aprile 2021:

  • Fifth call for modular projects

The aim of the call is to disseminate and transfer the products and results of a catalog of Interreg Med projects 2014-2020 concluded, to favor its capitalization, including Prominent MED, developed by Noesis.

The types of eligible projects are:

  1. Transfer projects of developed tools and methodologies
  2. Mainstreaming projects (dissemination and adoption) results in local policies, regional or national

Proposals must therefore refer to a list of 17 completed projects selected by the program, from which to start for the transfer or mainstreaming of results. These projects concern the innovation themes of Mediterranean clusters, low carbon transport, coastal and maritime tourism, biodiversity and protected areas.

Proposal coordinators must have participated as a partner in one of the concluded projects and will act as “givers”, or by those who will carry out the transfer or mainstreaming process towards the new recipient partners (“receivers”) of products and results to be capitalized.

Furthermore, coordinators must be public bodies or governed by public law. Each project must involve subjects from at least 3 different countries participating in Interreg MED.

The total resources made available by the call are equal to 4,6 milioni di euro. The European co-financing will cover 85% of the project costs.

  • Bando Carbon Footprint Compensation

The Interreg MED program has opened the Call for Carbon Footprint Compensation Projects with which it plans to finance only one project that must be able to develop a methodology and a tool for calculating the carbon footprint of Interreg MED projects.

The tool will serve as decision support to limit greenhouse gas emissions and to promote good emissions offsetting practices.

Participating bodies must have documentable experience in this area and the coordinator must be a public body or governed by public law. Furthermore, the partnership must be composed of subjects of at least 3 different countries. Given the size of the project, it is suggested not to exceed a maximum of 4 partner including the coordinator and a duration of 13 mesi.

The available budget amounts to 500.000 euro. EU co-financing will cover a maximum of 85% of eligible costs (50% for business).
