The Adriatic Ionian Program aims to support the European Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian region (I LEAVE).
I four thematic objectives (ex art. 9 EU Regulation 1303/2013) I'm: Region innovative and intelligent; Sustainable region; Connected region; better governance for Eusair. These thematic objectives are closely connected with the four pillars of Eusair: Blue Growth, Environmental quality, Connected region, Sustainable tourism.
These objectives will be implemented through projects involving regions of at least three Member states. Public authorities can participate in tenders (or equivalent) and private entities.
The program, approved by the European Commission Decision C (2015) 7147 del 20 ottobre 2015, interested regions of four EU Member States: Croazia, Greece, Italy and Slovenia, and four non-EU states: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro e Serbia.
Adrion is co-financed by the European Union with the European Regional Development Fund-ERDF, and has a availability of financial 83,467 millions the euro as well as 15,7 million IPA funds (Financial Instrument for Pre-Accession countries).
The launch of the program is expected to Bologna in December 2015.
