Il progetto VIBE. Voyage Inside a Blind Experience, nato grazie a una collaborazione internazionale tra il Santa Maria della Scala di Siena, The Glucksman, University College Cork, il Museo di arte contemporanea di Zagabria, l’Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano e Atlante Servizi Culturali, che ne ha curato la realizzazione, è cofinanziato dal programma Europa Creativa 2014-2020 dell’Unione Europea.
La mostra sarà ospitata, in seguito, in altre due sedi museali europee, presso The Glucksman, University College Cork in Ireland and the Museum of Contemporary Art Zagreb,,hr,in Croatia,,it,The objective of the VIBE project,,it,Voyage Inside at Blind Experience is to create a temporary art exhibition that can be enjoyed with equal interest by both legal and visually impaired people in which the works are accompanied by special technologies able to offer all types of public tactile suggestions and auditory,,it,The artistic path has been structured by the collaboration between Atlante Servizi Culturali and the American The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation,,it,to which was added the scientific support of the Institute of the Blind in Milan and revolves around the works of Josef and Anni Albers,,it,The artistic adventure of Josef Albers,,it,Bottrop,,en, in Croazia.

L’obiettivo del progetto VIBE. Voyage Inside a Blind Experience è quello di creare una mostra d’arte temporanea fruibile con pari interesse sia da soggetti normovedenti che da persone con disabilità visiva in cui le opere sono accompagnate da speciali tecnologie in grado di offrire a tutti i tipi di pubblico suggestioni tattili e uditive.

Il percorso artistico è stato strutturato dalla collaborazione fra Atlante Servizi Culturali e l’americana The Josef and Anni Albers Foundation, a cui si è aggiunto il supporto scientifico dell’Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano e ruota intorno alle opere di Josef e Anni Albers. Il Corridoio sensoriale
La sezione, posizionata all’ingresso della mostra, prevede la creazione di un corridoio buio in cui sarà favorita l’esplorazione tattile dei materiali usati da Josef e Anni Albers, stimolando i visitatori a riconoscerne caratteristiche e peculiarità attraverso il tatto. Il pubblico si potrà avvalere di un’audioguida che si attiverà automaticamente quando i visitatori si avvicineranno ai punti di interesse.

Le audioguide
Per la visita sono state predisposte delle audioguide, progettate insieme a Tooteko, uno spin-off dello IUAV di Venezia, che ha prodotto un dispositivo che consente di esplorare con il tatto superfici tridimensionali a rilievo e di ricevere informazioni audio pertinenti e localizzate. Sezione musicale

I modelli tattili
Nel percorso espositivo sarà possibile toccare dodici riproduzioni in resina delle opere in mostra, realizzate dall’Istituto dei ciechi di Milano alle quali si aggiungono le riproduzioni dei Matières e dei Paper folding, esercitazioni che Albers faceva fare agli allievi per stimolare la tecnica manuale e la creatività, riprodotte da Fritz Horstman.

Infine il catalogo e il sito web saranno realizzati in funzione del progetto: il catalogo della mostra sarà completamente in braille con all’interno riproduzioni tattili in termorilievo, mentre il sito web realizzato e certificato dall’Istituto dei Ciechi di Milano, può essere accessibile anche ai non vedenti. Tutte le didascalie in mostra, inoltre, saranno in braille.
